Do lazy days make you feel rested or unproductive?
Lazy days are the best days for me to get to rest all day. I don’t feel apprehensive, restless, or guilty. At 73+ years old, I tend to take naps throughout the day. I’ve accomplished everything I wanted to do in my life and it’s time to take it easy all day, every day.
I graduated from University, joined the U.S. Air Force for a career, retired, God called me to attend seminary and I became an ordained priest. Six years later I was consecrated a bishop.
I was elevated to archbishop and a year later Primate of an entire region. My duties were administrator to clergy, proper clerical dress, proper liturgical worship services, and maintaining discipline of deacons, priests, and bishops under my supervision and leadership.
Now I lay me down to rest, I pray the Lord my soul to be blessed. And when it’s time to sleep forever more, I pray the Lord take me to the heavenly shore. There I will be surrounded by my family and friends, knowing that my journey ends.
