How do you want to retire?
I have already retired. I’m a 100 Service-Connected Disabled US Air Force veteran. I did not plan this, but it helped me to plan how I would live in my own home, get great medical and dental care, and have the VA modify my bathroom after being diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease in 2019. Using Medicare, Tricare4Life, and Express Scripts Pharmacy, I receive excellent care with the Sutter Health and Delta Dental providers. Of course my retirement was a rarity, but I thank God every day for my retirement being what it is. Many people will have to ensure a good retirement pension that will let them live comfortable daily living, a home paid for in full, a decent, paid-in-full, car, and family and friends to be with every day. Retirement does not mean cutting all ties with the outside world. It means engaging with the world every day via sports, walks alone or with friends, enjoying the outdoors.
