Do you remember your favorite book from childhood?
My favorite book was “The Learning Tree”.
The tree grew up from a sapling while the boy grew up into adulthood.
The tree let its large tree limbs to be removed by the young man to make house furniture, while the smallest limbs were used in the fireplace to warm the young man in cold weather.
As the tree grew larger over many years, it was now the middle-aged man who came and cut the tree down to make firewood for many years, and all that remained of the large tree was a 5 foot wide tree stump.
The man became old and remembered his travels through time and returned to the tree stump and sat down with his wood cane made from a tree limb years ago.
In closing then, a small boy and a young sapling, grew up, and at certain stages of life you see the boy, then the adult man, middle-aged man, and finally old man. The tree grew up and gave up parts of itself over the years to the man to use, until finally at the end, the old man and the tree stump are together again.
The story ends here and I learned that throughout your life’s journey you should and would find events that are similar to your own.
