Write about a few of your favorite family traditions.
When I was growing up in the 1950s, we would gather around the dining room table and feast on turkey, mashed potatoes, peas, stuffing, and for dessert, pumpkin pie.
Sadly, traditions have gone from being celebrated, but to just an ordinary day where no one works, and dinner is usually fast food and football games on the television.
“Those were the days”, as Archie and his wife would sing at the beginning of their TV show, way back in the 1970s and 1980s.
Unfortunately, the times keep changing year by year, and you have no choice but to ride the roller coaster into tomorrow. 🤦♂️🤨🤨
